About Me
My love and interest in wine started many years ago when I attended a 12 week wine course, hosted by the most charismatic and knowledgeable sommelier who had worked at many top hotels in London. This experience invoked a desire in me to learn more, and encouraged me to taste different wines from around the world and especially from lesser known wine making regions. I also started to try wine flights when lucky enough to be eating out, the ideal opportunity to try wines you possibly wouldn’t think to choose, which also helped me understand more about food and wine matchings.
Ultimately this led me to study for the WSET (Wines and Spirits Educational Trust) and I was delighted to reach and pass Level 3 despite studying through lockdown with all our sessions on Zoom!
Since then I have had the pleasure of hosting many wine tasting events, my mission is to change the perception that some people have of wine being a bit pretentious and a bit intimidating, and by sharing my knowledge, help people learn a bit about what they like and why the like it, whilst having some fun in a social and relaxed style.

Private Events
I can host a tasting for you and your guests in the privacy of your own home, a great way to start a special gathering. We can perhaps start with some bubbles, and I will then present a selection of wines, sharing information about the producer, the grape, and aromas and flavours.
We can discuss your wine preferences beforehand, or I can choose the wines for you, I will supply the wines and glasses and you can leave the rest with me.
If you would prefer not to have the event at home, I can host you at The Tasting Room at Shenfield Wine Company, a private space with a maximum capacity of 16.
Corporate events
If you are looking for a get together with your employees, a team bonding experience or perhaps just for a social event, I can host at your premises. I will bring the wines and glasses, and will present a selection of interesting and delicious wines for you all to enjoy.
To encourage interaction and add some fun, I can add a quiz or just some interesting wine facts, so that everyone can get involved.

I’ve been to other tasting events where wine experts have made long and serious presentations on each wine which has eventually become a bit boring.
